How to prepare
What You Do | What We Do |
Make sure there’s a clear a pathway to your access point where service will enter your home. (When possible, we will use an existing point of entry to bring the fiber into your home. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to drill a small hole.) | We install the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) where the fiber connects from the street into your home. |
Make sure there is access to a grounded outlet where fiber is entering the home. Our installation technicians will try to use existing wiring whenever possible. | We connect the ONT to the power.
|
Let us know where you’d like your router to go. It should be accessible and clear of large appliances. (They can emit electronic interference). | We run the wires from the ONT to the router.
|
Tell us about any potential dead spots you may be concerned about in your home. | We test signal strength and advise on additional Wi-Fi access points, if needed, to cover your whole home.
|
Connect all your devices to your new fiber-optic network. | We check to make sure everything’s working properly before we leave. |
Sit back and enjoy life with Internet Built for the Future. |
